Our client was looking for a replacement woodgrain conservatory roof for their existing conservatory in Lincolnshire. The existing lean to style conservatory roof had old polycarbonate sheeting that leaked in places and was thermally very inefficient. It was certainly due an upgrade. We visited the site and carried out an initial inspection that confirmed that the existing woodgrain upvc frames were in reasonable condition and so to keep the project cost as reasonable as possible it was agreed that the specification for the project would include a replacement woodgrain conservatory roof, but retention of the existing base, walls and side frames.

Replacement wood grain conservatory roof redesign

One of the issues with the old conservatory roof that contributed to the leak problem was the lack of pitch. The old design had a very low pitch that allowed water to puddle on the top of the roof. This had been chosen because of the back height restrictions caused by the property being a bungalow. We were able to show the client lots of images of conservatories designs for bunglows given our extensive experience, we provided the client a CAD image, shown above, that resulted in them choosing one of our boxgutter conservatories.
